Sean Martin's Blurbs |
About me:
I'm a Writer & Filmmaker.
We are currently in post on a feature-length drama, FOLIE A DEUX, starring Adam Napier and Christopher Dunne, along with Steve Dineen, Martin Trent and newcomer Sally Scott. Our documentary, LANTERNA MAGICKA: BILL DOUGLAS & THE SECRET HISTORY OF CINEMA was released on DVD in July 2009 as part of the BFI's DVD/Blu-Ray of Bill Douglas's COMRADES.
My most RECENT BOOKS are ANDREI TARKOVSKY (2006), a study of the great Russian director and THE GNOSTICS: THE FIRST CHRISTIAN HERETICS (2006). An earlier tome, THE KNIGHTS TEMPLAR: THE HISTORY & MYTHS OF THE LEGENDAR MILITARY ORDER (2004), has done rather well, and a revised edition has just (October 2009) been published in paperback. All are available from Amazon and all good booskhops.
My next book will be NEW WAVES IN CINEMA, due out from Kamera Books in 2010. An illustrated version of my book on the Cathars, retitled CATHARS: THEIR MYTHS AND SECRETS REVEALED, was published by Taschen in French, German, Spanish and Dutch in early 2009. An English edition will appear in 2010.
