About me:
Hey, I'm Heidi and I'm usually hanging out at 89X on Saturday and Sunday evenings...and at the last-minute whenever someone's got the day off or is sick. It's kind of a strange story how I ended up here...I was taking some classes at the University of Windsor and working two jobs in order to make enough cash to go to a college out of town. My goal? To finesse my skills behind the board in order to be a sound tech on tour with The Beastie Boys. Seriously. Then I met someone who was working behind the scenes at 89X and he said he could probably get me a job and I thought "Cool--maybe this will help me get in with Ad Rock?!". But then I decided I liked it here, the bands come to us and I don't have to haul heavy equipment. So I made Mom and Dad proud, I finished University in town and I'm still hanging out at 89X, ELEVEN years later! Only one regret...I finally did have a chance to meet the Beastie Boys but I got sick and couldn't make it to the show. On the other hand, meeting members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Oasis and Garbage kind of made up for it!
