What was once shall be again..
Over the last 11 years, the band 8ID has seen many different incarnations.
Founded in 1997 by lead vocalist, Weber Lutz, and the multi-talented Nicodemo Baptiste, 8ID became a collaboration that would transcend musical genres.
During a cold Winter in the city of Florence, Italy, Lutz and Baptiste
brought together a song that caught music producer Jack Favells ear at one of
their local concerts. Favell approached the two to record and produce the
song "Campanella".
From there, the three worked together to record another song titled "Long
Ago" and an unfinished and permanently unreleased track (due to a studio fire that incinerated the masters) entitled "Peimonie". Singer Lutz left Italy to live in Germany and start a family while Favell and Baptiste worked on other
musical endeavors.
In July 2005, Lutz returned to Florence for a short stint to lay down vocal
tracks for the song "Wild at Heart". The track was released online in
February 2006. In 2008, the band is working on putting the final touches on an upcoming EP. Stay tuned.
