About me: The 8th Note is a coffeehouse and venue located in the UWM Union building on the ground floor. The mission of The 8th Note is two-fold; to provide UWM with an alternative hang-out spot on campus with UNREASONABLY cheap coffee and other warm delicious beverages, and to provide free entertainment to the UWM student body. This includes free concerts mostly, however 8th Note has been host to poetry readings, open mic nights, and other similar events.
THE 8TH NOTE IS THE ONLY ALWAYS FREE, ALWAYS ALL-AGES VENUE IN THE CITY OF MILWAUKEE AND IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR ALL CONCERTS! The 8th Note is host to weekly concerts featuring both local and national touring acts.
