8 Ugly are winners of Toni Sant's Mużika Mod Ieħor (www.tonisant.com) 2006 listeners' poll for best online release and former nominees for best newcomers at the Bay Music Awards (www.bay.com.mt).
This year they are back with the release of "Sleeper", their debut album which will include "Lady Let it Lie", a cover version originally by Fish (www.the-company.com).
Boris Cezek (of the New Harmonics) is responsible for 8 Ugly's arrangements and production, and a number of other musicians including Charles Busuttil (of Muzzle), Colin Zammit, now on the West End musical theatre scene, Ronnie Busuttil (of the Refugees) and Gianni (of Rug) also contribute to their work.
