Strange Highways by Dean Koontz, although I love all his books. This one in particlular really spoke to me. It's a series of short stories that he wrote over his career-length. The title novel 'Strange Highways' is about a man that envisions his life going backward one fateful day. He (Joey)goes back to his hometown to attend to his father's funeral. As Joey is leaving town he literally traveled backward in time in a matter of seconds to when he left town as a young man, so he could do things over. I don't want to describe the whole thing, go read the book!
