I'm Kendra and I moved to Dallas, TX from Detroit, MI (by way of Ann Arbor, MI for the past couple of years). I guess you could say that I went from one "BIG D" to another "BIG D."

I am an alumnus or alumna of Renaissance High C/O 2002.

Go Mighty Phoenix!!!

As of April 29, 2006, I am officially a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (Home of the Wolverines!) with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Anthropology and a minor in Latin American & Caribbean Studies. Woo Hoo!!! My mom is so proud, LOL!!!

Wherever you go, GO BLUE!

"The University of Michigan: where your best hasn..t been good enough since 1817."

Ohhh....Who lives in a pineapple under the sea...
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) working towards earning my Masters of Arts degree in Anthropology.

GO MAVERICKS!!!!

After graduate school, I would like to venture into the museum world and use my anthropology background to help develop educational programs to help promote equality and tolerance amongst different groups of people. I believe if we properly inform and educate the masses of people in our nation about the different cultures of groups of people, there will be less discrimination, intolerance, hatred and ignorance held towards people of different groups. This in turn will foster in a more peaceful society. Furthermore, I think that the museum setting provides a safe, educational, fun and friendly environment in which children, in particular, can learn. If we teach children to view different groups of people equally, early on in their lives, they will carry with them into adulthood the values of compassion, respect and tolerance of others, thus resulting in a more tolerant society on a larger scale.

The National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum (formerly the National Cowboys of Color Museum and Hall of Fame)

I currently work for the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum (formerly the National Cowboys of Color Museum and Hall of Fame) in Fort Worth, TX as the Director of Collections & Exhibits/Museum Coordinator.

In my spare time I like to write songs and produce music tracks, sing, dance, play my alto saxophone, play the piano, play my guitar, read books, listen to music, go to church, go to concerts, go to the movies, workout (especially doing water aerobics), cook, watch TV (especially the DisneyChannel, Nickeloden, MTV, HGTV,the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, the Travel Channel, the-N, Bravo, USA, FX, the Food Network and the CW), hang out with my friends, play golf and just enjoy life while I still have it!

I'm really into music. I love all different kinds of music such as Hip Hop, Rap, R & B, Pop, Latin, Jazz, Classical, Alternative Rock, Soft Rock, Punk, Techno, Christian, Country, 80s music, Bluegrass, Old School Motown, Classic Rock, etc.

Luke 9:23-24
23 Then He (Jesus) said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save hislife will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."

I am also a member of

Globe Trotting...
I Love to travel...So far I've been to China, England, Wales, Mexico, Honduras, the Bahamas, Canada and various states throughout the U.S. Of all the places I've visited, I'd have to say England was my favorite place to visit. It was so cool to tour a country with so much history. I was actually standing in some castles that people lived in hundreds of years ago! That..s amazing to me! But anyway, my dream destinations are Egypt & Italy. I have a plan to visit all of the continents and major countries before I die. I think I've made a good start so far. Anyone want to join me on my quest?
