94.7 The WAVE was the first Smooth Jazz radio station in the country, born on Valentine's Day in 1987. The format that the WAVE launched was originally dubbed "New Adult Contemporary" by the industry. However, over the years, after asking our audience what our unique music blend means to them; time and time again, they call our music "Smooth Jazz." Therefore, our "full name" is "Smooth Jazz, 94.7 The WAVE." The WAVE has since grown into a true powerhouse in Southern California radio.

I knowed yours radio since from 1991. In the beginning i've listened some tape recorded from a friend who worked in USA...So i like let you know that's been a important moment for my musical addresse. Thank you & ciao from Italy.
