Thanks for the add!

Ahhh, Ayn Rand, a 'secular saint' in my world of leading lights... The Fountainhead was a pivotal read at a time when I was dying for some real meat in my sophic diet. You obviously recognise the "virtue of selfishness" is NOT a mantra for screwing the earth (and our brothers and sisters), but rather that real SELF DETERMINATION is the highest right of the sentient soul. "The virtue of selfishness" sits at the very root of those "other", oft more quoted words: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

Loving our selves FIRST, is the prima requirement if we truly wish to love others. It's called "self respect". If you don't have it, you can't give it.

Peace

Hi G.E.

Thanks for finding me, you have a lot of interesting material not least your Manifesto. But I wonder; as David Brinkley said to Jerry Brown during the 1992 presidential primaries, "Governor, they're not going to let you do that!"

But we can try, right?
