The 95N compilation is the result of a couple of guys spending most of their free time immersed in the independent music circles of their respective cities. New York and Boston (along with Tallahassee, FL) have served as the centers of activity for the Frigid Ember Media crew during the zine's/label's existence, and over the years we have come across some of the most talented and interesting artists around. This compilation is meant to showcase a handful of them. There is no definitive genre here, no certain sound. The mix of artists is as varied and ecclectic as the artists themselves, and we hope to turn people on to some new music that they may not have had the chance or inclination to otherwise seek out.
We have watched many of the musicians involved as their bands have changed, their music styles evolved, and are very happy to have the chance to work with some of our old friends on such an exciting project.
