Vocokesh began in 1991 as a spinoff of another band, F/i. The usual reasons, muscial direction, etc... In 1991, an LP."Ispepnaibara’ was released on the RRR label. The Chicago based Drag City Label released two CDs ’Smile! And Point at the Mountain?’ and ’Paradise Revisited’ in the mid ’90’s. Three more CDs, ’The Tenth Corner’ ’Through The Smoke’ and ’All This and Hieronymous Bosch’ have been issued on the Oregon based Strange Attractors Audio House label. Another CD is currently in the works. In addition, two more CDs ’Vibe’ and ’Upon Further Examination’ are available from Marshead records. The music of Vocokesh is instrumental and loosely structured, and covers a variety of styles. Influences range from 60’s psychedelia and garage rock to blues to experimental electronics.
