WAY TO GO AM&T!!
OVERALL AGENCY OF 2007....AWARDED BY AMTC!!
Here are the results from SUMMER AMTC 2007. We are not posting callback information because there were so many and the contestants all agreed that information should be kept confidential. Be sure to congratulate each of these individuals. We are so proud of everyone!! We all worked so hard for the past 6+ months and it paid off. This would not be possible without our fabulous photographers Glynis Arban and Melyssa Waites, or without the help from Lexy Arban and our INCREDIBLE INSTRUCTORS: Amber Cooper and Aldine Carter. We had big news for some of our participants to announce soon. Maranda Hollifield was given a contract yesterday from Wilhelmina NYC, but we have many options for her so we will give you all posted, and several have great things in store for them. Even those who may not choose to pursue modeling or acting for a career have all benefited from AMTC. It is an experience of a lifetime.
Amanda Kirk has been in the modeling and pageantry industry for the past twenty- four years. Amanda is a former student, model, and instructor for Eileen's Models and Talent (Eileen Mitchell Trantham). There are over 80 students enrolled in modeling, acting, personal development, and pageantry classes in Valdosta. She is also a Regional Director for AMTC. AM&T attend the prestigious AMTC Convention twice a year, and her models and actors have the opportunity to audition for 80 plus agents, casting directors, and talent managers as well as attend seminars and workshops taught by the best in the business. Success stories include Kara Fountain (FFT NYC), Maranda Hollifield (New York Model Management).
Over the past six years, she has helped develop actors who have booked national commercials for Yogurt Gogurt, Goody's, Mt. Tiki Soki (Hasbro), Disney, Totsage, United Way, The Cartoon Network, CapriSun, MTV Beach House, and McDonalds, as well as being featured in a Travis Tritt video for CMT. Her actors have also booked roles on movies such as "National Treasure", "One Missed Call", "We are Marshall" and "Dumb and Dumberer" and TV shows such as "The OC", "Disney's 365", Disney's "Show Your Stuff" and "Hannah Montana" Her models have booked national jobs for Macy's Richs, American Girl, Frontgate, Goody's, Target, Toys "r" Us, Touchstone and German catalog Neckerman. Her models and actors are also featured on brochues, billboards, and commercials for Wild Adventures Theme Park and Cypress Gardens and New York Fashion Week with Brian Reyes and Bobbi Brown (Maranda Hollifield).
Her pageantry students either win or place as a finalist at every pageant across the southeast, with titles including American Coed State Queens, National Finalists at American Coed, Sweet Potato State Queens, Miss Cotton State Queens, Miss Pecan State Queens, Miss Georgia USA, Miss Teen Georgia USA 1st Runner Up, Junior Miss Georgia State Forestry, Little Miss Georgia State Forestry, Miss Thomasville (MAO), Miss Presidential Pathways (MAO), Miss Outstanding Teen Camelia (MAO) and the list goes on. Her students are on the honor roll at their schools, participate in charity and community events, and demonstrate poise and grace. They are role models.
The models participate in four fashion layouts per year for The Valdosta Daily Times. They are also the only school/agency chosen to model for a mall- wide fashion show at The Valdosta Colonial Mall. Each student has fun, is recognized for their achievements, and is continuing to grow towards becoming successful confident adults in our communities.
Each December, there is a recital for the models and actors to show their family and friends what they have accomplished at Amanda's Models and Talent. This recital is held at Mathis City Auditorium and is free to both talent and their families. Each student demonstrates one aspect of training as well as performs commercials, monologues, and modeling the runway.
The Baby Blues is a performing singing and dancing troupe consisting of both boys and girls, ages 5 to 15. They perform country, Motown, contemporary and Broadway selections for pageants throughout the Southeast. Rehearsals are every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30pm.
Also, Amanda's Models and Talent show the models and actors the importance of giving back by requesting each student to bring one unwrapped toy to the recital. These toys are given to The Salvation Army and Toys for Tots each year. Since 2002, we have donated more than 300 gifts to children in our area.
Come join our family at Amanda's Models and Talent, where EVERYONE is a WINNER! Amanda's Models and Talent...

What's great about Millie Lewis is you are able to see raw talent. For me, it's important to develop that talent, and what's really exhilarating is that you can change people's lives. That's why I do what I do, and that's what Millie Lewis gives you."
Christian Kaplan, 20th Century Fox, Los Angeles
"The Millie Lewis AMTC is the most professional, well-organized convention I have ever attended."

"I love to see those light bulbs turn on-- I love to see the realization that you can follow your dream, as long as you are informed, and that's what you get at AMTC: wonderful, practical, realistic, and caring information. I was truly honored to be a part of AMTC."
Lesley Collis, Mattel Casting, New York
"I have attended the AMTC throughout the years and have always found it to be the most professional and well-run convention by far. It is truly a great experience for the Agents attending, as well as the models and actors. I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a first class introduction to the model and talent industry."
