WHAT DID SHE DO TO DESERVE THE DEATH SENTENCE?
Born in Canton, Ohio in 1967, Mark moved to Illinois at the age of 2 with his mother and siblings. Not knowing his father he was thrown into life to try to learn how to be a man on his own. At 12 years old he began to use marijuana, alcohol and speed. At 17 he was a senior in high school with no hope of graduation because of disciplinary actions barring him from two classes. A friend of his, Danny Watson, took him to a church in St Louis, MO where he gave his heart to Jesus. The next week he was allowed back into those classes and graduated high school. Two months after that he was in Fort Knox, KY in Basic Training for the Army. He was sent to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD after that where, in his spare time, learned to play the guitar. He noticed others playing cover songs but decided that wasn't for him and decided to write songs himself, and for the last 24 years, that is what he has been doing. In the early nineties he helped establish a church in Ft. Madison, IA alongside one of his mentors, Pastor Roger Welty. Tragically, however, Mark turned away from God because He couldn't take the shame of the sins he continued to live in. In 1999, he tried to take his own life, but is thankful that he was spared. Mark realizes that he is not the only one who goes through tough times with God so he has recorded some of his prayerful songs to God along with the answers he receives from God through song. I listened to one of your songs last night and I really liked it.I had a hard time with my computer,getting it to let me listen to the ones I wanted to hear.I'm not real good with electronics.Anyway I listened to No Fear,I'm pretty sure that was the name of it.It was great.
