About me:
I grew up in the heat of 70s postmodern fiction and post-Godard films, and there was this idea that what mattered was the theory or meta in art. My film is emotional rather than meta, and that's my rebellion.

Hey Noah, great work. I bought a dodgy copy of the Squid and the Whale from a crazy street lady in Bangkok, I don't think you're distributor would be too happy about that but at least it's travelling well! The quality was pretty good by the way, clear audio good bit rate for a ripped of copy..

Hi Noah,

Thank you for the add! The Squid and the Whale was an amazing movie. Great behind the scenes. In fact, I got the title for my next movie from one of the interviews. Thank you, I look forward to seeing your next movie. Ivan Velez

I don't know if this is a personal site or a fan site, either way I really enjoy your work. Last year while working with the Chicago film festival I was unable to see The Squid in The Whale when it was one of our special presentations. Since then I have seen it and really loved it. Keep on working.

Prior to the release of "Kicking and Screaming" as a Criterion DVD in August, I had pretty much warped my laserdisc copy. On top of that, I would pick up old VHS copies of said film and send to friends simply packaging in the mail with a note that read, "You must watch this. It is my favorite film, " and thus I've turned many on to the classic that is "Kicking and Screaming." I'll never forget seeing it in a packed theater at Pipers Alley back in the mid 90s and I'll never forget in 2002, sitting with my three-year-old son in McDonald's and over-hearing a guy quoting scenes from the movie. I shouted toward him, "Excuse me, is that a pajama top?" and he erupted in laughter and came over and shook my hand. Thanks again for making "Kicking and Screaming" and to Criterion for finally releasing it on DVD. We had waited for a long, long time. Please have a 20-year anniversary showing of the film in 2015. I'll be sure to attend no matter where it is.

thanks for the add -- kicking and screaming is the best post-college movie there is. Sadly, I've never "been to Prague, " been to Prague...
