About me: I work as a freelance audio engineer at the Kitchen, recording in New York, and as a sound designer on the road with the Bill T. Jones Dance Company. I also play in the groups Bowery Boy Blue (guitar & lap steel), The Goodwill Orchstra (guitar, drum machine, vocals, keys, trumpet, bass, accordian, glock), and Stereofan (bass, keys). I went to school in Bloomington, Indiana, where I was a founding member of Three on the Tree, The Decanters, and Tremendous Fucking. I also played with Sam Lowry, Kid Kazooey and the Ballroom Roustabouts, and a whole slew of other folks.
Who I'd like to meet: Daniel Johnston, Neil Young, Stephen Colbert
Happy Birthday! (If I wait, I will forget to tell you.) I hope you have a great day. Or, like me, you could have a whole week of mandatory celebration.
Just dropping in to say thank you for supporting Independent Lens and being a part of our online community. So many great independent films and amazing documentaries still to come.
From the writeup of the new Gore Gore Girls record (http://www.bloodshotrecords.com/album/goregoregirls/317)
Be forewarned, though, anyone who writes the Gore Gore Girls off as only big hair, go-go boots and reform school allure misses the meat of the matter; slowwitted oglers are liable to get rudely muscled aside when the Girls hit the stage with their fully loaded Gretsch guitars, sweet harmonies and three-on-the-tree energy.
Wow...you guys have infiltrated the public consciousness so much that you've become vernacular!!!
