that is true, however if you stay coming from a selfless place it is easier to be objective. It just taps into the human nature to not want to hurt people. but sometimes people just need to face the reality of a situation, whether its cold or callous.
be honest, but dont aim to cause harm with your words but rather to help build someone up, and a distance can be kept from it becoming too personal. Problem is when you do that people read it as exactly the opposite, and say "how can you be so mean"? Beause youve told them what they NEED to hear, not what they WANT to hear.
