This month Solescience are delighted to welcome one of their very favourite producer/DJs - MAURICE FULTON
Once proclaimed as 'the Yankee king of weird house', Maurice has been DJin since the early eighties, having made his radio debut in Baltimore at the age of just 13, while his first steps into production came as part of world famous Basement Boys later that decade.
Since leaving the Basement Boys, Fulton has had solo work appear on a plethora of labels from Warp to Nuphonic & under a huge variety of guises including Ladyvipb & Eddie and the Eggs. His production skills have been used by solo artists from Jimi Tenor to MU, while his more recent work with fabulous Kathy Diamond has shown that he's not lost his ear for disco brilliance despite what his more bonkers work under the name Psyclops may say.
Maurice's DJ sets encompass underground house, classic disco and leftfield wrongness and see him regularly grace Fabric in London and Electric Chair in Manchester. This is the very musical formula that Solescience was built on, and they can't wait to have Maurice join them.
While Maurice is in the Main Room, looking after Room Two will be the ever-eclectic duo of DJ Beefy and Wolfjazz. Having seen them rock many parties - and after-parties - Solescience felt it was definitely right to welcome both guys back to the house to dish up the good vibes out the back. From dub to electro and everything in between, expect the unexpected and a memorable trip.
A pleasure as always to be in 99 on saturday night - And Make that a double lager tops and your on!! Fingers was an experience as always.....visions of our group all drinking champagne out of the bottle.....pure class!!! x
