“Uncruel Cool Mouth” has to be considered an introduction and at the same time companion to Larsen's forthcoming album “Cool Cruel Mouth” (to be released by Tin Angel Records in UK and Europe and Important Records in the USA and Canada on April 2011).

Whereas “Cool Cruel Mouth” focuses more on song structure thanks to Little Annie's smoky vocals and metropolitan lyrics, on “Uncruel Cool Mouth” Larsen's Paolo Dellapiana and band producer and sound engineer Marco Milanesio (a.k.a. 9cento9) have used sound sources from “Cool Cruel Mouth” (as well as some additional sounds) to build up a cinematic instrumental suite in two parts, putting the stress on musical and atmospheric dynamics and shifting.

“Uncruel Cool Mouth” is the second album self released and distributed by Larsen (after their 2003 collection of out-takes “Musm”), it will be launched at Larsen's 15th anniversary show in their hometown Torino, Italy, on the 19th of February 2011 and will then be available for digital download and on CD only from Larsen's mailorder service as well as at all of Larsen's future live actions.

BLIND CAVE SALAMANDER - Troglobite

Our new full length studio album "Troglobite" will be released by Shayo. Among the 7 tracks our version of Pink Floyd's "Set The Controls For the Heart Of The Sun", which has always been part of of our live sets on last years, plus contributions by Michael Begg (electronics) and Paul Wallfisch (upright piano) further than Julia Kent at cello (as well as arrangements and some backing vocals).
"Troglobite" has been produced, recorded and mixed by Marco Milanesio @ O.F.F. studios in Torino, Italy. Marco also played some keyboards and wrote one of the track, all of the other sounds and melodies are of course by Paul Beauchamp (synth, keyboards, harmonica, saw) and Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo (electric guitar, electric viola, vocals

Also out in September, as limited edition cd on Radical Matters Editions Label, our collaborative/split album with sound artist Pietro Riparbelli aka K11: "The Nietzsche Fabrik Sessions / Transmission": in June 2008, Blind Cave Salamander was invited to take part in the Torino World Design Capital festival presenting a site specific performance to be staged on the roof of the Nietzsche Fabrik workshop and incorporating sounds from the local machines, smitheries and carpenters at work. The material on this record is the live recording of the in-studio rehearsal for this performance as then edited and reworked by Marco Milanesio. The same material has since been broadcasted and re-recorded in a unique instrumental transcommunication action, using FM and SW radio signals, by Pietro Riparbelli, inside the etruscan necropolis of the ancient Kysra, in this way taking the salamander back underground.
This record displays a possible sound-path within its aural mutations.

The first 2009 release of Chew-Z is "Slow" by 9cento9 (Marco Milanesio) and it is his second release in our mp3 catalogue.

9cento9 - Slow
This new work of 9cento9 is a travel inside deep emotions.
"Slow" is a contemporary music composition and it is very hard to describe the music of these strange feeling tracks.
They evolve in a mysterious way and let the listener discover them, as the discovering of a landscape of a hypothetical journey in a land where morphology changes every step the traveller takes.
There is a constant and quite fast evolution of the atmosphere in this ambient music that renders it deconstructed but in the meantime very concise and concrete.
Except for the smallest parts, there is a total absence of loops in favour of a formal research that creates melodies and rhythms using electronic devices with a deep knowledge.
This work is the antithesis of what is considered the current trend of making electronic music in today's day, but these tracks, notwithstanding the artist's skill in sound design are not only a void style exercise, but are also always loaded with self-explaining contents that are deep and warm.....
