9 Lazy 9 joined Ninja Tune when Ninja Tune was just one grey metal cupboard in a run down London loft. Operating out of Italy in 1992 they soon gained respect for their ground cracking first album "Paradise Blown". Their sound, distinctively more sun than North Sea, is a smoky Mediterranean mix of vines and good times. Keir Fraserello and Giacomo Braddellini have been making music for many years in different guises before combining forces in Rome in the early nineties. They have been working with some of Italy's finest musicians on their latest album, "Sweet Jones", recorded in the Umbrian Hills near Orvietto. Gianluca Petrella plays trombone, Mishael Levron guitar; Manu Bandettini plays flute with Adriano Tirelli on bassoon. The combined force brings you one of the freshest records to come out of Italy for some time.

For the whole month of June you'd download separeted tracks of "Time for Shopping" song and spend all nights to let it become the most played track in clubs alllover Europe!!!

Among all remixes sent to us, we'll choose "The Magnificent Seven" to be included with original song in a free release that will be downloaded from our site, Popgrooves site, all our media partner sites!!

YES WE DID! come dicono gli anglosassoni. Accordo concluso tra l’etichetta Foolica Records e i DID (Guido Savini, Giancarlo Maresca, Andrea Tirone, Andrea Prato) band torinese che può già contare su attenzione di pubblico e stampa dato il successo del EP Time For Shopping (esaurite 1000 copie!) uscito qualche mese fa con la preziosa collaborazione di Marco Obertini aka Circolo Forestieri, agenzia di booking della band già nota per i progetti Don Turbolento e Il Genio.
In precedenza era già uscito un altro EP (Ask U2) per Kirsten’s Postcard netlabel cuneese molto attenta a sonorità lontane dal mainstream che in passato ha lavorato tra gli altri con The Niro, Perturbazione, Canadians e My Awesome Mixtape.
La band vanta già una copiosa presenza sui palchi ed anche grazie al'l’EP Time For Shopping (distribuito solo ai concertI) è ben nota a pubblico e stampa musicale
Giovani anagraficamente, hanno la leggerezza di chi non deve fare i conti con lunghi trascorsi musicali ma può liberamente ispirarsi e irriverentemente miscelare generi che per le generazioni precedenti rappresentano mondi antitetici. Come dicono in una intervista uscita sul blog Polaroid “ci piace provocare: ai concerti diciamo di essere un progetto dance ma in realtà suoniamo con chitarre e batterie, come sempre.”
Nei loro brani si uniscono il groove afro-beat e la potenza del post punk per raggiungere una sintesi che è vicina a band passate come Liquid Liquid e Contortions e presenti come LCD soundsystem passando attraverso la No Wave.
Per la realizzazione dell’album, dal titolo ancora da definire, hanno deciso di affidarsi alle sapienti mani di Bruno Germano e del Vacuum studio di Bologna dove saranno tra pochi giorni per ultimare le registrazioni!
L’uscita è prevista per l’autunno prossimo.

L'accordo prevede la prossima uscita dell'album "inspiration is not here", primo lavoro non autoprodotto della band, con la produzione artistica di Francesco Donadello (Giardini Di Mirò) presso l'ALPHA DEPt di Bologna e con l'imprescindibile aiuto del Partyzan Booking che ne segue, da sempre, l'attività live. Il disco ha visto la partecipazione di artisti amici dei CAMERA237 tra cui: Carmelo Pipitone (Marta sui Tubi), Giacomo Fiorenza (42records) ed Andrea Suriani oltre ovviamente a Francesco Donadello (GdM).
