97年結成。レゲエ、ロックステディ、ラヴァーズ、ルーツロックなどを ベースにしながらも、様々な音楽の要素を取り込んだ演奏と、女性ヴォーカリスト のヤスコの透き通った声でオリジナルな個性を持つ4人組日本人バンド。 バンド名の由来はボブ・マーリーの生まれた街の名前より。 満を持して初のミニ・アルバム「万感の思いを込めて」が2003年6月、そして2005年4月に1st.フルアルバムを発売し、「ハウルの動く城」の劇場用''Vodafone 802N''のCMタイアップソングに抜擢されるなど多方面から大注目を集めている。そして2007年8月8日、待望の2ndアルバム「Belly-Go-Round」をドロップ！！

They formed in 1997. Their music is based on Reggae, Rock-steady, Lovers, Roots-Rock, while they have their own atmosphere because of beautiful voice of female vocal Yasoco, and because they also put other various aspects of music. 9miles is named for the name of place where Bob Marley was born. They released 1st mini album in 2003, June. Also, in 2005 they released 1st full album!!! Their music is used as CM song of ''Vodafone 802N'' of the ”Howl's Moving Castle”!!
