GioMBG
Giorgio Canepa aka MBG started to DJ and produce at the age of 17 in his home town of Genoa in Italy where, thanks to his technical skills and musical choice soon began to play in the local top venues such as Xenos and Anyway. He got his name MBG (Mix By Gio) through his reputation of handing out mix-tapes to car repair shops and body-workers and soon became somewhat of a brand name. His career as a producer also picked up rapidly and from the Gulliver Studio near his home he started to release various records that even reached the number one spot in places such as Italy and Belgium. With these solid and successful productions behind him he moved on to play at some of Italy's most prestigious clubs including some in the Rimini area where MBG decided to move to. Here he created his Bunker Studio which was the first of three studios set up by him where he collaborated with some of the best producers of 1990 such as Leslie Lorenz (the sound man for Robert Owens), Kid Batchelor (one of the most renowned DJ's at that time), composing and collaborating on some of the first records from CNF Records (the label of Maurizio Clemente) and even doing a co-production with Ricky Montanari on a track that will remain as one of the Ten International House Classics of all time; Optik 'The Chance'. MBG saw that this was his moment and decided to create his own label MBG International which became a well recognised underground deep house label of the 90's. Being distributed by Flying Records and Disco Magic his productions sell high numbers in various countries worldwide and he soon finds himself DJ'ing at big venues in places such as London, New York, Spain and Switzerland amongst others.
After doing a stage at the New Music Seminar in New York MBG found himself creating a new style, Trance Wave and with the same named label he reaches the top of the charts all over Europe. His tracks become licensed by Sony, WEA, EMI, BMG and others so after many years of hard work MBG finally manages to open up his latest studio at his own home. Here he creates GioMBG.com Edition House that incorporates such brands as 9Records.com, DootRecords.com and UomoRecords.com that are all currently distributed digitally by all the main platforms.
MBG is constantly trying to push forward his ever growing thirst for new music and his labels are a reflection of this hard work. Add to that the countless hours spent in the studio as well as DJ gigs that take him from country to country and you will realise that MBG is one of life's musical masterminds!

BMM 33 Tantrum Light LSD Island EP with the remixes of Paul Hunter, Da Trash & Zimaleto Genre: Minimal, Techno, Tech-House.
Some comments: Carsten Rausch: The Da Trash Remix is a cool piece of percussive Techno. I will definetely play that. Dave James: Yeh I like the original trippy vocals. Galuszka: Tantrum Light offers a track that is straight up techno. The mood of the original mix is very Terminator 2 (Judgment Day) in its vocal work and sound choice. The remixes of this project ad funk, especially the Da Trash remix with it's rolling quality. Bodgan Taran: I just love the melody on Zimaleto remix of LSD Island. The Reddman: I listened all the remixes and was very impressed! I have to say I just loved the Paul Hunter remix of the LSD Island track. There was something about it that just kept the groove going for me. Moog Conspiracy (Elektrotribe / Buena Onda): I ll play Tantrum light - Da Trash remix. Marc Fuccio (Fresh DJS): Favoutite mix is Paul Hunter remix. Wicked groove of a bass line that instantly got me to my feet. Great production and construction. Graeme Park: I really like the Zimaleto Remix of Tantrum Light's LSD Island. Such a great groove. <a href="//www.beat
