I started playing at 16 with a pawn shop strat I could not tune. I was influenced by Hendrix, Zeppelin, Allman Bros, and lots of blues!
Writing lyrics was something that I wanted to do after years of my mom reading poems from The Best Loved Poems of the American People. Casey At Bat, Face Upon The Baroom Floor, you remeber those, right?
So after a year or two of learning how to tune my fake strat, I threw it away, cause I couldn't tune it! My first band that year did ZZ Top, Allman Bros, and stuff like that. I stopped playing with bands and started recording quite a few years back. Now, with digital recording, I spend all of my time writing and recording my stuff. Hopefully soon I will start a few collaborations...we'll see.
