EVH, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Robert & Dean DeLeo, Ace Frehley, Bootsie Collins, Zakk Wylde, George Lynch, Randy Rhoads, Jake E. Lee, Joe Walsh, Slash - too numerous to list 'em all...
Sounds Like
Imagine if you will the soulful, melodic catchiness of Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and George Lynch; the sneaky, rhythmic quickness of old school Eddie Van Halen and Nuno Bettencourt; the harmonic complexity of Steve Vai and Jason Becker; the insane shred of Yngwie Malmsteen and Paul Gilbert. Now add the drum and bass-heavy crunch of Metallica; the brutal grooviness of Pantera, Disturbed and Sevendust. Toss in a cool Latin journey ala Carlos Santana; even take a trip back to the 70ʼs on a Starsky and Hutch vibe.
Hi! My name's Steve Senes. I'm a guitarist in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. I play guitar with a few bands in the area. First and foremost, I play with Superswamp Heroes who, taking elements of various genres of Classic Rock (especially Southern Rock) and combining them with heavy guitar riffs, pounding grooves and soulful, heartfelt vocals creates a unique and memorable sound, one you're sure to dig! We recently completed our first full length CD in Nashville, TN, called "The Truth" - Keep checking back here for more info as it becomes available. Also, check out the band's myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/superswampheroes for all the latest info and, if you see we're going to be near you, come on out and party with us. We guarantee you'll have a kick ass time! Swamp Style!
Also, I play with an acoustic act called Pale Horse, along with a very talented singer named Frank Braddock and another killer guitarist named Johnny Caines. This band plays all acoustic covers of both classic and modern rock. Applying electric techniques to an acoustic trio creates an interesting sound and a sure-fire good time. You can catch us on Thursdays at Bully's, at Barefoot Landing. Come on out and see us, and buy a brotha a Coors Light ;-)
Additionally, I'm working on my first instrumental guitar CD. If you're familiar with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc, then you know the genre. The CD is a very diverse group of songs, covering a bunch of genres I've picked up over the years playing with different cover music gigs. From Metal to Jazz, to Funk, it's all there.
Called "De-Evolution Of Theory", this is a project I've done completely on my own, from all the instrumentation, to the programming, loop editing, mixing, engineering, etc. The recording and mixing are done & it's currently being mastered by audio wizard Alex Perialas. If the name sounds familiar, it's because he produced all the classic Anthrax records you remember as well as releases by Testament, Overkill, Pro-Pain and a bunch of others. With his magic smeared all over the CD, it's going to sound amazing! In the meantime, you can listen to the raw mixes in the ReverbNation player just above this article.
So come see one of my bands, hang out & party! Life's too short, let's have a good time!
Thank you so much for the friendship. I really like your music, and it's a pleasure to meet you here! Greetings from Denmark, Lene www.nexus-univers.dk
