Influences
i gravitate towards music that has a unique sound and a distinct groove. whether it's future jazz or electronic music, funk or rare groove, modal or soul jazz ... it all has to just move me. i like a certain sort of production sound, one that is warm and organic but has space and texture.
i love warm brass and energetic percussion, i look for passionate playing done with a discerning ear -- a good musician knows when to leave space for silence as well as how to fill the canvas with colour!
