Special Ed. (Ed Light) on tenor banjo, guitar, vocals & sound effects. Since migrating to the DC area from West Virginia, Ed has appeared in a variety of traditional jazz and novelty ensembles
Bags. (Richard Howard) on trumpet, vocals, & harmonica. Bags has been featured in a variety of notorious Area outfits including the Thunder Jug Boys and the Barrelhouse Brawl. The Riverside Carnival Band is Bags' traditional jazz/dixieland band that is also available for events (410-320-7895).
Rockin’ Ron the Promiscuous Percussionist. (Ron Goad) on washboard and all things percussive. Born in an elevator in a Front Royal Va, Ron has worked his way up to become one of the premier percussionists in
the DC region. He plays around a bit and you may see him providing a good back beat with a number of other bands from time to time (usually of the very pretty female persuasion).
Gutbucketeer. (Jim Bunch) on washtub bass, jaw harp, jug, moose, crow, and duck calls & other weird noises. A Texas native, “Gut” made his washtub debut on the streets of Ann Arbor.

A Washington DC Area Jug Band that provides toe-tapping entertainment that is FUN for all ages. Featuring novelty songs of the 20th Century, the
band performs both obscure oldies and lively original tunes. We specialize in humorous music with a slightly off beat twist and have performed
at the Austin Grills (Silver Spring location) Sunday Brunch, the Washington Folk Fest, the Folk Society of Greater Washingtons Mini-Fest, the
Downtown DC Holiday Market, and the National Zoos Sunset Serenade and ZooFari.
The band's Cicada Song was one of the featured recordings on NPRs All Songs Considered Open Mike in May of 2004, and was also broadcast on Mary
Cliffs Traditions radio show. Other original songs include "There's a Fungus Among Us", and "Ben Laden of Araby".
Shows are tailored to the occasion.

I spent the last few days building the new Cigar Box Guitar Headquarters, CBG HQ - the base camp for the Cigar Box Guitar Revolution! The stage for Prim Rock. Your barracks from now on.
ATTEN-SHUN - PRESENT ARMS!
CBG HQ is a comprehensive, interactive resource for ALL THINGS Cigar Box Guitar. Stop by for music, videos & pics, history, CD & concert reviews, building tips/links, performance schedules, CD & instrument sales, interviews, art and anything else y'all want to see. All submissions are encouraged!
I posted a few of the videos I shot at the 2007 Cigar Box Guitar Extravaganza, and a link to more. There are a lot of photos of the instruments in the National Cigar Box Guitar Museum, and a link to the entire collection. You can also link to the Cigar Box Guitar Forum and chat with fellow CBG addicts. We even have a 24/7 internet radio station!
If you have anything you want to share, let me know and I'll add it.
You are now embedded behind the front lines. Grab your weapons and join the Revolution.
Check it out, but be ready for Cigar Box Guitars to change your life...

ADD CBG HQ TO YOUR FAVORITE FRIENDS!
(I will keep the membership pure. I won't troll for friends just to see how many I can collect. I won't approve a friend request unless I think you have something to add. I won't post spam comments and I probably won't approve your comment if I suspect a bot sent it and you never visited the page. Anyone can visit, but if you want to register I expect you to contribute or ask questions of the battalion. So spank me.)
The late jug master (1939-2005) plays some of the spookiest tones ever on the previously unreleased "Visiting Day." Recorded by the Jailhouse Jug Band, the tune is currently spotlighted on the Jug Bandolier player.
love the tunes guys, been listening to The Memphis Jug Band recently, and searched and found you fine people. i have your tunes on my profile . thanks again
