Although primarily "contemporary jazz” AfterGroove has built a following that includes various types of listeners from jazz to even blues. Formerly known as Soul Solution, which had been playing together for 10 years, they have been reformed and rejuvenated, to what is now AfterGroove. Since their inception in 1998, they’ve progressively solidified their position in the jazz community by performing at various venues such as area festivals, casinos, jazz clubs & restaurants, The Nelson Atkins Museum, healthcare fundraisers, schools, and TV appearances. Resently they just finished filming for a PBS TV show (DU Uncut). AfterGroove has also taken their jazz sound to other cities, such as St. Louis and Disney’s Pleasure Island in Orlando Florida. AfterGroove has shared stages with national artists such as Rick Braun, Brian Colberson, Joe Sample, Max Groove, Ken Navarro, Dwight Sills, Kim Waters, Brian Savage, and The Neville Brothers. AfterGroove has blended their talents to cover songs of dozens of popular artists, all the while composing their own music which has received airplay on several stations.
