    And it is excellent to be back for the holidays. I called home last Sunday and started crying because I'd missed Lacey's birthday and when I called Mom was putting up the christmas tree and decorations. I was so sad I missed it. But it was awesome to come home to a cozy house lol. I didn't get home until almost 2AM on Friday. And I'd been awake and in my uniform since 3:30 the previous morning, ugh! But I will be here until the 1st, my flight back to Missouri leaves Portland at 3PM that afternoon and I have to get a hotel in St. Louis that night and catch a bus back to base on the 2nd. Well, we should get together while I'm home, especially since we didn't before I left and I won't be back in Oregon until late August/early September. Just let me know when you're free for dinner or lunch or somethin :)

    it was a bit cloudy.. for part of the drive, we were actually in the clouds! it was fun tho :) the clouds burned off later in the day which was wierd
