Melbourne Out -- PvD Plays Vapour
The title pretty much says it all. Get'yer copy of Melbourne: The Remixes here. Also, around mid November, Paul Van Dyk played my remix of Vapour. I don't know the details, this is only what the label has informed me. Get your copy of Vapour here.
Aside from that, my remake of Take Me Home has fallen through. I had a brief discussion with Sean Tyas on a similar subject -- about why he didn't do a new mix of Melbourne. Typically, once you finish a track, you've used up all your ideas for that particular feel/composition, so having to re-do it feels way too much like work thus the end-result won't be as good as the original. So why bother? I'd rather make something new and amazing than re-do something old. Come to think of it, out of all the "updated" tracks I've heard done by the original musician, none were better than the originals.
Don't forget to check out my (free) sound banks for the Access Virus Ti, Nord Lead 3, and DSI Prophet '08. An Alesis Andromeda bank is in the works. http://www.alanmarcero.com
