"IN THE HEIGHTS" IS NOW PLAYING ON BROADWAY!!!
IN THE HEIGHTS is a new musical about three days in the life of Washington Heights, a vibrant and tight knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. It’s a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. Find out what it takes to make a living, what it costs to have a dream, and what it means to be home.
"A singing mural of Latin-American life with an INFECTIOUS SCORE, JOYOUS CHOREOGRAPHY and the inspiriting flavor of a morning pick-me-up on a warm summer day. YOU CAN’T TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE PERFORMERS, AND YOU WON’T WANT TO." -Charles Isherwood, The New York Times

A Conversation with Quiara Alegria Hudes on November 17th at 6:30pm at Teatro SEA (107 Suffolk Street, 2nd floor).
This will be a conversational symposium celebrating the creative process of a writer through the story telling from Puerto Rican writer, Quiara Alegria Hudes, who wrote the book for the Tony Award Winning Musical, In the Heights. This conversational symposium will focus on how story telling is developed, shaped and affected by collaboration, mission and the responsibility of giving real Latino work to our Hispanic artists in the NY industry.
This event is perfect for aspiring writers and performing artists to attend, and finally have the opportunity to ask those questions they feel are always left unanswered.
