You know I hate
to have to say this, but please remember that all art and photos that
I've posted here and in my albums belongs to me and cannot be used
in any manner without my permission. Other than the art in the
comments
section, of course, but that belongs to those artists, so please respect
everyone's work and don't use it without permission - thank you!

ACEOs
- Miniature Art
ACEOs
(Art Cards, Editions and Originals) are small format gems that are
an affordable way to collect some amazing art. I started creating them
in November '06 and I'm hooked!
ACEOs are always 2.5 x 3.5
(or vice versa) and they were "born" on eBay. They evolved
from ATCs (Art Trading Cards) which were created as a way to trade & collect
art. ACEOs are intended to be sold and collected.
They may be small,
but the art is fantastic. Artists work in a variety of media - I've
created ACEOs in scratchboard, color pencil, mixed media and photography
and more, but you can also find creations in collage, acrylic, oil,
etc.
Most ACEOs are sold
directly by the artist and some artists also offer ACEO sized prints
of their work. Collect by theme, artist, medium, etc. ACEOs can
be framed, given as a gift within a card, displayed in trading card
sleeves, the possibilities are nearly endless. These mini masterpieces
ARE addicting - both collecting and creating - so you've been warned.
Check 'em out - you won't be disappointed.

I'm
an award-winning artist and illustrator specializing in nature drawings
rendered in ink on scratchboard, mixed media and watercolor. I accept
commissions for pet and animal portraits and enjoy working with devoted
owners and their beloved animals. I'm also a photographer - looking
for unique perspectives of the natural world.
I graduated from CSU, Sacramento, with a bachelor's degree in biology, and
am a member of the Guild
of Natural Science Illustrators (GNSI). I'm also a member of the Auburn
Old Town Gallery where my original drawings & paintings, prints and note
cards are available. I participate in the annual Autumn Art Studios Tour, offering
demonstrations of my drawing techniques and discussing my artwork. My art has
won awards in both local and regional shows.
Prior to making the leap to full-time artist in 2003, I was senior technical
specialist at Foothill Associates, a consulting firm in Rocklin, CA. My responsibilities
at Foothill Associates included producing computer generated maps & graphics,
designing & maintaining web sites and creating illustrations for educational
signage. My interpretive signage designs and illustrations can be seen along
the trails at Lake Natoma and at Mather Regional Park.
I have contributed a variety of illustrations to Sacramento Splash (a wetland
education organization), Lincoln Arts, Loomis Basin Horseman's Association,
Foothill Associates, the Sacramento Zoo, the Folsom Zoo, the Nature Conservancy's
Cosumnes River Preserve and the Sacramento Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
My husband and I, along with a border collie and a quarter horse, live in Northern
California (northeast of Sacramento) where we've converting part of our acreage
into horse
property and landscaped with an emphasis on native plants and wildlife habitat.
Hi. Just wanted to let you know that my owner has a new middle grade
novel out called "Celeste and the Giant Hamster." Celeste is a cat.
You'll never guess what the giant hamster is! (Hint: modeled after me!)
Check it out on amazon.com.
There's a link on my home page to the book on Amazon.
It'd be great if all my friends would read the book. It's for 3-6th grades but enjoyable by adults too.
Hi AnnRan! I love your art! Especially the Petzazz. The colors are wonderful. You should paint a capybara, we are ever so cute.
I have four Quarter Horse co-pets. Buzz is the nicest. I think Ribbon and Phoenix would try to step on me. Chesapeake is a little aloof. Usually my owner doesn't let me interact with them because of the size difference. It's the opposite problem that I have with Neptune, Coral and Carl's pet guinea pig.
