Article 18 was formed from the aftermath of the former band Downfall. Andy Solger, Adam Schoor, and Erik Anderson set out to make a fresh new sound of metal. After recording their first cd entitled "Scratch The Surface" and playing the local area the band had set out to write their second cd. The band had looked for a fourth member for some time but had no luck until Jim Barrera came to audition. The band had decided to take him aboard and began writing for their 2nd cd. Helping to define their sound the band played various shows after the completion of their second cd entitled "(Re)Creation" when unexpectedly Erik departed from the band. Without a bassist, long time friend and supporter of Article 18, Richard (ReX) Crawley auditioned and landed the spot. Playing shows was all the band focused on to get going again. While writing new material diffrences struck between Andy and the rest of the band, choosing to step aside Andy parted ways with the band. The band left without a drummer found Tony Shreeve. This however would not last long as Tony would leave shortly after joining for personel reasons. This left Article 18 drummerless again and in their search they stumbled upon vocalist Jason Lemere. Adam wanting to focus mainly on guitar suggested Jason for an audition, so the band brought Jason in and after his first time out found their new frontman. Still without a drummer the band was in a slump when finally the fifth member was found. Mike Quarrato aka Q came in with tons of energy and a drumming style that was influenced by anything and everything. The band now 5 members strong has come together, playing many shows and is currently writing new melodic and intense material.
