Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington DC is the first stop for many of America's returning wounded service members from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Known as "the amputee ward", the orthopedic Ward 57 at WRAMC houses some of the most severely injured patients for weeks or even months. The painful sacrifice of losing one or more limbs is the new battle these service members and their families now fight.

Who I'd like to meet:
The following advertisement was purchased by 630 WMAL radio listener Ed Lawson, and placed in the Washington Times Newspaper, March 19, 2009
Hello there Austin...miss talkin to you on the radio. It sucks there is no more local hosts after 9 am anymore out here, so it gets frustrating that people in this area don't really have a way to voice our concerns. But oh well, what can I do... I start college in Aug, so wish me luck. I hope the family is doing well, and look forward to talking to you soon!
The online voting has begun! The polling is now up for the best "ranter", sponsored by the Houston Tea Party Society. I would seriously appreciate a vote for me, Eddie Gallegos, in the online poll. The winner will be awarded with a guest speaker spot at the upcoming July 3rd Tea Party at Discovery Green in Houston. I would ask you to ask your friends to vote for me as well. Polling closes at midnight (CST) on Tuesday, June 23rd.
Also, it has been confirmed: Steven Crowder will be the guest speaker at the Houston Tea Party!!
Thank you for the add. Please feel free to comment of some of the news articles that I include in the blogs. Information and knowledge has the ability to open the eyes of ignorance. The key is to get the word out and get people thinking for themselves!
Why not let people differ about their answers to the great mysteries of the Universe? Let each seek one's own way to the highest, to one's own sense of supreme loyalty in life, one's ideal of life. Let each philosophy, each world-view bring forth its truth and beauty to a larger perspective, that people may grow in vision, stature and dedication.
