In 1998, Ricardo and Javier de Pablo made up their minds and decided to show their saddest, darkest faces in terms of music, creating AUTUMNAL, together with Andrés Gabaldón, guitarist.
After meeting Miguel Angel Gutierrez, bassist, and making him join the band, they started creating new ideas for new songs until this initial stage was culminated with the recording of their first demo “In my Shell”. This work impressed different worldwide media like www.doom-metal.com and brought autumnal closer to the national underground wave, getting more followers and supporters due both to several shows the band performed in Madrid.
Two years later, Sandra and her violin joined the band. This fact enriched the band, drawing up more melody and sensibility, and, of course, fitting perfectly in Autumnal's inner progress.. As a matter of fact, one can realize that “The Age of the Sin”, the next self-produced and self released demo, shows it all. Julio replacing Andres, joined the band and recorded some guitar tracks for this great work.
During this intense, lively period, Autumnal take part in some of the “DOOMINATION OF EUROPE 2003” Spanish shows, supporting MORGION, MOURNING BELOVETH and THE PROPHECY.
It was in 2004 when Autumnal, again with Andres and Guillermo as cellist (replacing Sandra), had the honour to support ANATHEMA in some of their Spanish shows, a chance that made the band get awesome reviews from the media and outstanding comments from the old fans and the new to come (merchandise = SOLD OUT!!). Just an unanimous, uniform opinion: This band is, shall we say, a hopeful revelation.
A year later, the band decides to create new concepts and ideas for a new work: “GREY UNIVERSE”. Before the release of this record, Andres and Guillermo left the band. This fact made Julio join Autumnal again. Maria Ingelmo, an outstanding, experienced cellist, joined the band as well, replacing Guillermo.
After considering different propositions from both national and foreign labels, Autumnal's “GREY UNIVERSE” is released in December 2006 through Xtreem Music.
The album during the first month since its release obtained a great response from the main Spanish media:

This band either doesn’t go unnoticed for the Spanish TV PUBLIC CHANNEL CUATRO, which broadcasted a band’s report filmed during one OF THEIR shows in Madrid. That was the first appearance of a Spanish doom/gothic band on the Spanish TV.
But the band’s success follow with their participation on the last KATATONIA Spanish tour, during 3 days, playing in front of 500 people each night, overwhelming the public by the Autumnal’s “Progressive Doom-Metal”.

MORBID TWISTED, TEMPESTIVE y ASHES FROM A DREAM tocarán en la Sala Excalibur de Vallecas, Madrid.
Tres grupos de la zona norte de Madrid darán una buena dosis de metal para calentar el ambiente en este frio que comienza.
Las entradas cuestan 5 euros por venta anticipada (ya están a la venta contactando con los grupos) y 6 euros en taquilla. La apertura de puertas es a las 20.30h.

“Once & for all" is the title of Still Nasty’s upcoming LP. Registrado y mezclado en los estudios Crab de Madrid, cuenta con la producción de José López y Still Nasty, siendo masterizado por Ron Boustead, en los hollywoodienses Precision Mastering Studios, de Los Angeles (USA). Mucho hard rock y atmósferas, con ataques del denominado stoner rock, configuran el debut de los madrileños, que cuenta además con interesantes colaboraciones (Marta Ruíz, de Sex Museum/Poliester, Robertez, de Motociclón, entre otros).
