The song "La La" was inspired by the untimely deaths of Yolanda "La La" Brown and JeTannue "Kool Aid" Clayborn. Im Memory of Milwaukee's two rising stars, the song pays tribute to there lives. Produced by Jermaine "Manio" Rideout the song brings together a host of Milwaukee's upcoming hip hop, r&b, and gospel artists. Recorded at Sid55 Studio's the group consisting of Ron Staples, Paper Chase, Tiffany Sims, Slim and Shank of The Chosen Few, RaSho, E.I. and Rodney Poe came together collectively to honor the memory and lives of La La Brown and Kool Aid. Brain Franklin of Ozone Magazine also stopped by the recording session to show love and support for the cause.
"La La" the collaboration is also meant to show milwaukee the need to come together as a community and stop the violence. Too many young lives have been taking from us before there time. Within this tragedy the negative switches to a positive, as the faces and memory of La La and Kool Aid serves as a reminder for Milwaukee's urban youth to come together as a culture. The cycle stops here.
All proceeds of the song "La La" will go to Yolanda Brown's 5 year old daughter and JeTannue Clayborn's 2 year old son. Rest In Peace La La and Kool Aid. www.1RaSho.com

COMEDY SUNDAYS..Hosted By: T.P. LUCAS When: Sunday Nov 04, 2007 at 7:00 PM Where: CERA’S TEQUILA BAR 607 6TH. STREET RACINE, WI 53402 United States Description: LIVE STAND-UP COMEDY
I need your help to recruit students for Marquette’s Urban Journalism Workshop.
This year for the first time, we have not been able to use minority in our Urban Journalism Workshop promotions. As a result, we’ve had a lot of interest from majority students; very little from minority students. As this rate, minority students will be a minority in a workshop that is directed toward them. Ironic, isn’t it?
I followed up on your recommendations at Media Day. I sent an e-mail to Eric Vaughn and followed up with a piece in the mail. No response. I did the same for Homer Blow. Again, no response. Let me know if you have any other suggestions.
Urban Journalism has been extended to three weeks at $350 (a bargain) for those students who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch. We’re tackling convergence this year. Students will write for the Internet, capture and edit video and audio. We’ll publish on the web.
If you can find a way to use the release attached, please do.

wow, my city is between milwaukee & chicago, we have some of the hottest talent in the country, most will not be discovered due to where we are on the map. this will never be accepted by me or my artist. i only know how to do me, but me & the talent in my city need an outlet to the rest of the country. i live in a town that has no plans of ever helping people of color do nothing positive, we have over 2,000 homeless in a city that only has 85,000 people in the first place. but our gov. just spent $30 million on a new jail when our students are getting diplomas with out education. i can bring comedy, jazz, blue's, country, etc. to this town with no problem, i say i want to bring hip/hop and our leaders do any & everything they can to see to it i don't. YES I AM PLEADING FOR ATTENTION, i have to do something, around here we are running out of old people of color & far too many of the young are not living long enough to see old age. the city did what they felt was right with the tax dollors and built a jail. i must prove this was a bad investment, by building carreers for some of the hottest talent in our country. I AM NOT ASKING TO BE FED, JUST TO BE TAUGHT HOW TO FISH IN THIS GAME BETTER SO I CAN FEED MYSELF. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE, FAITH WILL GET MY VOICE HEARD....T.P. Lucas Racine Wi.
