About me:

The Beat Happening WAS the coolest magazine in London, if not the entire world. It is now defunct, because the editor and publisher of said magazine is now in prison for knocking a policeman's hat off his head. It also used to put on well good gigs - you can see some of the bands we had on, at the side of the page. It's final ever gig was the BEAT HAPPENING FAREWELL PARTY: featuring THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESSO, IS TROPICAL, STIG NOISE SOUNDSYSTEM and THE COOLNESS, as well as ART BRUT DJs and PETE & THE PIRATES DJs. It was at THE OLD BLUE LAST on WEDNESDAY 8TH JULY 2009 and was FUCKING MENTAL. It had BALLOONS, CAKE, KETAMINE and CHEESE & PINEAPPLE on COCKTAIL STICKS. Wish you were there? I bet you do. x x x By the way, the editor will be thawed out of cryostasis on July 20th 2025 - and then, friends, the party shall continue...
