Franklin L. Bailey was born in Toronto, Ontario,Canada to a loving and hard working Single Mother; who always taught him to be himself and be proud of where he came from.
Bingi Catt started to sing/rap in the 80's when everything was nice.
Since then he has gone through many of life's changes and getting mixed up with some evil hearts and he ended up losing it all at once. After moving to Prince Edward County during 2005 ,which the media dubbed "the year of the gun" Realized that all he had left was his musical talent and RASTA heart.This natural gift from Jah made him realize he must "strive and survive"While growing his locks back for the third and final time,Bingi has decided to give the music thing one more try with his messages of PEACE,LOVE & UNITY(The true way of RASTAFARI)
Over the Internet ,Bingi linked up with Jah Mysapce Radio and sent some of his demo songs. Dj Bubbles,broadcasting live, played the song ,even quoteing on the air that she loves it. This resulted in many repeated plays, even on that same day.this support gave insprirstion to Bingi, and he started to write the album "My Messages"
Through Reverbnation.com Bingi found A small recording studio right in his own backyard, Picton. Bingi went with pride to the studio to meet Alex Hirst and Brendan Roche.Instanly the two owners loved his vibes of peace,love and unity.During the next four months,DCStudios Finished a 10 song CD for Bingi Catt entitled "My Messages".
Ras Bingi's message is a powerful one,of non-violence,and speaks out brutally to entertainers who promote it. He teaches the younger generation that there are ways live without gangs, colours or borders. All you need is love. Ras Bingi is very touched by the youth of today, and is worried that they are haeding in the wrong direction.
Ras Bingi Catt is very interested in doing any benfit concerts, such as Non-violence,Children in poverty,food banks,etc. at no charge.
