Bio
Focusing on strong original compositions, Bivouac performs a progressive, style defying mix of Americana music, combining grassroots Folk, Jazz ingenuity, and Pop/Rock vocal harmonies. Beginning their musical journey together over 20 years ago (anyone out there remember Shag Green?), the founding members, Tom, Jim and Larry have composed an impressive repertoire of over 30 original songs. With the addition of Dean’s impressively dynamic percussion, Bivouac continues its musical and spiritual evolution through sound. Bivouac's live acoustic performances draw in listeners of all types, brining people together with their eclectic sound and positive energy. The band takes the listener for a sonically scenic ride through the musical landscape of America, incorporating elements of improvisation and the occasional cover or traditional song to keep the audience guessing. Whether they are harmonizing sweet vocal lines, or their fingers are dancing across the fret boards, Bivouac will continue to gain new fans whenever and wherever they are heard. ..............Myspace Layouts..........Myspace Codes..........Myspace Generators..........Myspace Backgrounds...... -

FGC’s only hometown appearance of the fall is coming up this week! Catch the band in Chicago, this Wednesday November 24th (the night before Thanksgiving) at the newly renovated Mayne Stage Theatre on the north side of the city. This is an ALL AGES show, with Thinner Teed opening. Hope you can make it!

FGC's got two hometown area shows coming up! This Saturday (March 20) is an all ages show at the House Cafe in Dekalb, and next Friday (March 26) is a hometown throwdown at the Abbey Pub in Chicago (Ages 18+), with the singing/beatboxing/looping one-man show Heatbox opening the night. Both nights will feature two sets of FGC, and fans that attend both shows can pick up a FREE FGC album of their choice at the Abbey Pub show (just grab the Free Album Coupon at the House Cafe and redeem it at the Abbey Pub)!

In other news, summer is just around the corner, and that means we'll be kicking it off like usual with the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, IL over Memorial Day weekend. Visit www.summercampfestival.com for more info, and get your tickets early for a discounted price!
It sure was fine seeing you fellas at the Save More Lounge last night! I'll be there Sat. Jan. 23.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM POVERTY TAX! ~Dan, Stefan, and Ed~
