Singer and Songwriter Bob Trombley grew up in the small Adirondack New York town of Tupper Lake, and began to recognize that the town itself was simply too small to contain his drive and motivation to perform. Trombley set out to discover new music opportunities and moved to Rochester, NY. In 2003 he joined up with the popular Rochester-based indie rock band True Ambition. His skills as lead guitarist were evident from the start and helped to carry the band to new heights landing the band gigs at such premiere venues as Six Flags Darien Lake and at the Liberty Pole in the heart of downtown Rochester. Says former founder, drummer, and lead singer of True Ambition Ben Woelk; The skills and ability that Bob brought to the band were immeasurable, his ability and technical skills as lead guitarist along with his songwriting abilities gave the band an entire new identity, one that found us success and a musical identity we had been looking for all along. His amazing versatility has become apparent, as his musical transformation has taken him from a punk & grunge rocker to revealing a deeper aspect of his music with his new acoustic debut, Winner of Rock the Mic battle of the bands in upstate, NY .Bob has the ability to connect the audience with his music and finds that lyrics are the basis for which he communicates. Songs such as Fight This reveal the poetic ability he possesses when he sings, "looking at the cold dark sky, the sun is setting now, a slight shade of orange and grey I'm trying so hard but I feel like I'm losing this race.” The depth and measure of what Bob communicates is his desire to truly connect to the audience that is before him. The range of Bobs talents in his technical ability, songwriting, and lyricism create a strongly deep music that reaches out to people and then reaches to something deeper within. When True Ambition split up in 2006, Bob, armed with just his guitar, started playing coffeehouses all over the Country. His debut solo CD is aptly named PUSHING ON, emphasizing his message that no matter what you're going through, Christ is always there.
