Police Officers - Most people don't have a clue about what it takes to be one. I speak from personal experience when I say I have seen many try and many fail. They are truly a special breed of people. Most people don't appreciate them because they don't understand them. People really believe that all they do is eat donuts and write traffic tickets. But I have noticed that people sure are happy to see them when they are getting their asses kicked in their front yard by some asshole that was trying to steal their shit. Just imagine if you called 911 and no one came. Survival of the fittest would become a reality. Police Officers are a symbol of order, in a society of chaos. They do a tough job and see some horrible things on a regular basis. Things that would make the average Joe lose their minds. So the next time you have the opportunity to interact with an officer, for whatever reason, when it's over thank him for being there, because, "What if he wasn't?" ..
