Described as a prolific songwriter and an extraordinary performer Bernie bursts onto the stage with her own brand of music, with lyrics that are honest and from the heart, her music is known to surprise, mesmerise and totally amaze you with her soaring vocals, Bernie delivers a splashing of folk, amidst a whole lot of pop, a sprinkle of country, and some hidden reggae. You will find yourself totally delighted with this fabulous quirky young lady. A Little About Bernie A young singer songwriter from the Scenic Rim she has been described as innocent, sincere and totally honest in her songs, what you see and what you hear is the essence of who Bernie is: Young Funky and full of hope. Bernie's music career has been amazing and the start of her popularity began at the Sunshine Coast when she was invited to share her music at Peregian Originals, The J and the Yandina Street Festival. She then entered the Fretfest singer songwriter comp in Brisbane and became one of the finalists in the under 18 age category. Bernie is a popular performer in Ipswich , Beaudesert and around her home town Harrisville, regularly performing for the Ipswich City Council, The Scenic Rim Regional Council and many of the local community groups. 2011 highlights were playing at the Caloundra Music Festival and the Friends of Folk Festival. From the Gold Coast to the Sunshine coast and out to Toowoomba venues and music events have provided opportunities for Bernie to deliver her music. With a growing fan base Bernie will look at taking her music interstate in 2012. Classically trained and a seasoned Eisteddfod performer/winner. She is also at home on the big stage having performed in Red Hot and Col, the Spar Arts Spectacular and various other local musicals in the principle role. Along with her vocal performances Bernie has been a part of Showstoppers and has enjoyed a mentoring programme with the Hive in Brisbane. In the future Bernie has her sights on becoming one of Australia's leading singer songwriters. Bernie has enjoyed taking the stage at the Woodford Folk Festival, Lost World Valley Arts in the Olives Festival, Borough's Cafe, The Treasury Casino's Set List, The Metro Café Toowoomba,The Chalk Hotel, Stuff the Stocking, Underexposed Festival and Exhibition, The Hive, Peregian Originals, The Full Moon just to name a few and has enjoyed being a feature artist for Fretfest. Bernie is also a regular artist for events hosted by The Ipswich City Council and the Scenic Rim Regional Council and supports varies local charities.

hey guys,
I write songs from the heart, things that impact on me , things around me. my dream is to live music day in and day out, to sing about stuff that ppl can relate to, things ppl can think about ..
I'm currently living my dream .. hopefully within the near future I'm going to be able to help ppl around me to realise that you can live your dream too .. it takes hard work, persistance, and passion .. but it is possable. every person who supports me through this process is helping to make a difference in the world and i thank you, to fellow muso's who are thinking like me .. best of luck i wish you peace love and happiness along this journey.

Stepping inside to the more intimate warmth of the gallery, a very healthy crowd had gathered to watch young songstress, Bernie Carson strum her way through some gorgeous folk tunes. She has a sweet voice and an even sweeter demeanour and quickly had the crowd eating out of the palm of her hand and clapping along on cue. There is an innocence and unaffectedness about her that is so sincere that it was hard to walk back outside without a goofy smile after the experience.
