Blogging is another big one. I have a couple of blogs, Voodoo Jive and Ornery Woman being a couple of them besides my blog here on MySpace - please stop by and check them out...click the link on the banner ads below.
Music
Rock & Roll, Jazz (real jazz, not the elevator bullshit), Blues (not white-boy blues, either), Funk, Reggae, Classical, Latin, and pretty much anything I dig listening/dancing to.
Coltrane. Jane's Addiction. The Police. D.J. Krush. Beastie Boys. Mozart. Willie Bobo. Sonny Boy Williamson. The Dead. Ravel. Willie Nelson. Björk. Iggy Pop. Southern Culture on the Skids. Bob Marley. Blondie. Me'shell Ndegeocello. Mingus. Miles Davis. Frank Zappa. Curtis Mayfield. Antonio Carlos Jobim. Damon Albarn. The Hives. Johnny Cash. Funkadelic. Jimi Hendrix. Billie Holiday. Art Blakey. The Doors. Widespread Panic. Henry Rollins. Blind Willie McTell. Beck. Robert Johnson. Elvis. Chet Baker. Bootsy Collins. Led Zeppelin. Sun Ra. Pérez Prado. Tom Petty.
Just to name a drop in the bucket, but a few of the cream of the crop.
Damn...way too many to name.
Movies
LOTR (Bakshi and the recent trilogy), Matrix, 8 Million Ways to Die, Solaris (original), American Beauty, The Big Red One, A Clockwork Orange, Chinatown, The Haunting (original), Vertigo, Psycho, Rear Window, Rope, Blade Runner, Brazil, The Shining, Scarecrow, Jacob's Ladder, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Outland, The Great Dictator, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Ring (because it actually scared the hell out of me), The Eye, The Deer Hunter, Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story, American Pop, Heavy Metal, The Naked Gun, Airplane ...the list goes on...and on....
Television
Benny Hill Show, Red Dwarf, Black Adder, S.T. Next Generation, South Park, Dave Chappelle, Ren & Stimpy, AbFab. Pretty much anything on either the Discovery Channel or Channel 13. I dig those forensic shows, and I'll admit it: lately I've gotten kinda hooked on Medium, CSI and Law and Order SVU. I've also been downloading episodes of this coolie british show called Most Haunted that fuckin' rawks. I don't watch too much tv compared to most people, though, so I'm a bit off the mark, I suppose...
Books
Ugh! Too many to name... I have been reading since I was three, so I really have a long list...The Bridge (Banks), The Blue Room (Simenon), Tropic of Cancer (Miller), The Crying of Lot 49 (Pynchon), Bag of Bones(King), Different Seasons(King), Extremities (Koja), A Superior Death (Barr), Macbeth (Shakespeare), Hamlet (Shakespeare),Interview with the Vampire (Rice), Dubliners (Joyce), Lolita (Nabokov), Naked (Sedaris), The Fermata (Baker), Trainspotting (Welsh), Junkie (Burroughs), Ham on Rye (Bukowski)... to name a few. I'm working on this list as I shuffle through the stacks of books in my home that make a visit to the Collier Brothers seem like a day at the beach...
Heroes
God, My Parents, Esther Bearden, Allen Ginsberg, Alfred Hitchcock, Stephen King, Anais Nin, Stanley Kubrick, Neil Gaiman, William Hankins, Lee Grayson, Jerry Garcia, Perry Farrell (when he's not being an ego-maniac), Laretta Kincaid (a.k.a. Larry C. Sullivan), Quentin Tarentino, William Blake, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, John Coltrane...gotta ponder this a bit more.
Here's a pic of me and one of my two mentors, William...back in '91 or so...
And here's my other mentor, the late Lee Grayson
My buddy, Chico the Mouse, Esq.

About me:
I try to follow along the lines of "do unto others as you'd have them do to you," although I am known to fuck up from time to time.
I love people, and try to give them the benefit of the doubt, though I find myself turning into a bitter old bitch with old age. *grin*
I am an animal fanatic, which is not entirely my fault because they always seem to find me, and then I have to help (this also applies to some people I have dated in the past).
I am always trying to learn new things, and I have the attention span of a gnat with ADD.
I love to write, to read (complete bibliophile, and my gig with B&N does not HELP my addiction at all whatsoever), listen to and play music (I play guitar and am trying to learn bass when I have the time - uh, when?),tinker around with computers, make web pages, shoot film/video, and now I have returned to one of my true loves: Acting. I am a core member of two theatre companies, The Oberon Theatre Ensemble and MTWorks.
I used to be part of a theatre company of my father's, Ernie Martin, called the Actors Creative Theatre - Check out the New York Press review that we received for a production I starred in a few years back...
I'm pretty damn proud of it.
I love fine wine & Grand Marnier.
I'm thrilled that I figured out it's okay to be an athletic, skateboarding, weight-lifting chick who doesn't look like the chicks on Sex in the City...
Please check out a couple of my blogging ventures, in addition to my Myspace Blog, I think you'll enjoy them:
An article written about me and my work/philosophy as an acting teacher. I am very happy, proud, and overjoyed at being quoted and written about...makes me feel like what I believe in and try to do isn't in vain.
Who I'd like to meet: Down-to-earth people with good hearts, good minds, and who like to party and have fun - as long as it's not at someone else's expense.
I love to meet new people, but please drop me a note before you just add me...If I add folks on here it's because there is a connection - be it literary, mental, because we dig each other's sense of humor as seen on our pages, the mutual appreciation for things...you get the idea. Think about it: if you want to come into someone's house, you knock on their door first and introduce yourself, eh? Most likely, I'll say howdy doo and invite you in.
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL NOT ADD YOU IF YOU DO NOT ADD A NOTE. IF YOU ARE ALREADY A FRIEND, THIS APPLIES TO YOU AS WELL, FOR I WON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE IF YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT USER NAME. I DON'T EVEN LOOK AT FRIEND REQUESTS UNLESS I GET AN EMAIL STATING WHO THE HELL THEY ARE.
Not to be a jerk, but that's just how it is. I've been on here nearly 5 years and I'm up to my ass in spam.
Sorry I haven’t stopped by in a while! I’ve been a busy girl opening a new gym in Kansas City, and I’m also getting ready to compete in a few weeks, so wish me luck!

And an asshole but I will always forgive you. :) I know, it was just one of those situations where I wasn't sure if our friendship would be ruined. But at he same time I was hoping. I just didn't pull the trigger so it was more me than you. I shouldn't have been indecisive. I did want you I just didn't want to be in that situation where if it didn't work out I would loose my friend too. You have no idea how much I've wanted you since but I can accept if that is where you don't want it to go. I would just love to see you again.
BTW, I don't expect you to read my mind though that sure as shit would make life sooooo much easier. My point is that I've never forgotten and frankly i wish for more.
