I am His creation. His design. I did not make myself and the ultimate accomplishment in life is to FULL fill the plan for which I was made. Being fashioned a true "designer original" in the image and after the likeness of God himself! (Selah). . . . .
Now that I have your attention . . . Let's lighten up a bit. Are You Ready! Are Your Ready! Are You Ready to get your praise on and have some fun with me and the jump'n, anointed, music ministry of . . . BLOODLINE!!!
Check out photos from our recent Live in Columbus Recording and, while you are at it enjoy life to the fullest and be the true designer original that God created you to be!!!!
At the age of three I started playing bongos with the family junk yard band. Basically, we all would grab a harmonica, bongos, maracas, clave, etc. whatever was lying around and have our own jam sessions. I wanted the bongos because that was the choice instrument of what we had available and that was what my dad always played.
When I was age 10 my brother got an "Orange Sparkle" drum set for Christmas and told me not to touch it. So . . . I touched it every chance I could get.
I went on to become a drummer and had the opportunity to tour Switzerland playing with a group by the name of Victory Praise Singers. I also opened for Fred Hammond and Radical for Christ while sitting in for a good friend of mine, Ralph Singleton, who went home to be with the Lord in a tragic car accident earlier this year. I got the opportunity to accompany Helen Baylor live in concert at the Richmond Christian Center and played in church for various praise teams.
As a church musician, I tired of the same old songs every Sunday and as a young person, did not feel the music that much. So after much, much prayer I founded Bloodline based on a word of prophecy. Prophecy seems to proceed everything we do in Bloodline! Thank you Jesus for speaking to us so openly and ordering every step we take!!!!
For those of you who want to know, "Who is Bloodline?" Bloodline has a strong sense of holiness in terms of lifestyle. We are Nazarites and seek to abstain from anything that would dilute our anointing. It takes a life committment to be a member of Bloodline. Because our music is so cutting edge in the Gospel genre and because of the assignment on Bloodline to minister behind "enemy" lines so to speak, God placed it on my heart to only work with young people of strong character who were willing to live an exemplary lifestyle before God and man.
Back to how I got started playing bass. I was the director and band leader for Blooline. I had excellent musicians but the bass player was so good that he could not keep our schedule. Torey - you are right, you never left us!
Anyway, with Bloodline phase II, God lead me to take up bass which was about 5 years ago. I knew I would always be at rehearsal and I figured that I might as well direct and play something. The bass had 4 strings, how hard could it be? It was actually a nice natural fit especially in playing "beats" as a former drummer. Though I would not call it easy, I found the musical love of my life in playing the bass. My objective now is to become the absolute best that I can be and I believe that will take me before "Kings" around the U.S. and oversees as a licensed minister of the Gospel and an appointed minister of music. Bloodline is for the world, for the people in the streets, in the hood as well as those in the church who are ready for something a little different.
Thank you for checking me out!!! Please pray for God's strongest anointing on my life and on the ministry of Bloodline. Pray that God would allow me prophecy on the Bass everytime I touch it!!!!
If YOU recognize areas in your life where you have been guilty of resisting change, stop right where you are and allow God to cleanse your heart from the fear of change. Know in your spirit that something good is going to come out of it. Take it in strife and start planning ways you can enjoy where you are. Our faith " teaches " us to trust God. So Just Go With The Flow. Because if God is for YOU who or what can successfully be against you?

God's House is about going back to the beginning, returning to the heart of God and the value of the church. God gave us spiritual leaders to bless us (Ephesians 4:11-14). Unfortunately, many churches today are ruled by heavy-handed leaders who have forgotten why they were "called." As a result, many have drawn back from God and the church – feeling lost and confused about what they once believed. This book is for those who have been rejected and hurt by those who were assigned to watch for their soul. It is time to rebuild – one person at a time.
Highlights: - The role of spiritual leadership - The true meaning of "ministry" - The problems that exist and how to fix them
“God's House is compelling and very timely. It's an affirming read for those who are at a crossroads concerning their place of worship. The honesty and forthrightness of this book is needed now more than ever before. God bless you mightily for this book. ” – Sheritha Bowman, Author of Diary of a Woman Pastor Available at www.amazon.com.
