Oklahoma native, Jared Tyler, started playing, singing, and writing songs at an early age. From Merle Haggard to Stevie Wonder to Emmylou Harris to Tracy Chapman, Tyler has been influenced by a wide range of musicians during his career. Tyler's music is as diverse and complex as it is warm and inviting. The gripping, soulful sound of his voice has been said to be both mesmerizing and inspiring.

Besides touring alongside legendary singer-songwriter Malcolm Holcombe, Jared has been the supporting act for a wide range of artists and bands such as Emmylou Harris and Buddy Miller, Keb Mo, Nickel Creek, Merle Haggard, Wilco, Hank Williams III, CatPower, Shelby Lynne, Dave Wilcox, Shannon Lawson, Willis Allen Ramsey, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, BR549, Michael Franti, and many more.

As his discography grows he has currently recorded with; Malcolm Holcombe,Emmylou Harris, Mary Kay Place, Dave Wilcox, Shannon Lawson, The Tractors, Jelly Roll Johnson, Brandon Jenkins, bassist and producer Dave Pomery, producer Scott Harding, Michael Gulezian, and many others.

"Jared Tyler comes from Tulsa, Oklahoma, a state that has produced many musicians that defy or even invent their own musical categories, from Woody Guthrie to today's avant-garde Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey. Tyler is such an artist. His original music is a diverse, yet passionate breed of traditional American roots tending to the spiritual, but in a way that seems consistently rooted in lives well lived in the real world." Craig Havigurst -The Tennessean-

Jared has been collaborating with Malcom Holcombe for several years, touring and recording, and is pleased to announce Malcolm's release of "NOT FORGOTTEN" Munich Records.

Jared was honored to play Dobro, Lap Steel, and few other things on the record alongside old friends Jelly Joll Johnson, and new friends Bill Reynolds (Donna the Buffalo & The Believers) and Aaron Price, Producer, Collapseable Studions, Asheville, NC, and many others.

Hi everyone, check out my friends movement classes: This is a call to all of those who have the courage to LET GO, (and are ready to have fun!) Move the body, quiet the mind, and free the Spirit....An ecstatic movement experience.. This simple movement class combines Gabrielle Roth's "Sweat your Prayers", Qi Gong, guided meditation, and deep relaxation as a way back to your center; your moving center and the inspiration of the heart. It is movement as medicine. Rooted in the innate wisdom of the body, natural flow of the breath, and pulsing rhythm inherent in all life. It's an opportunity to let go of the mind and allow the body to be moved by rhythm, to disappear into the wave of sound, to offer your bones back to the dance, to offer your sweat as a prayer, and to gather in community to celebrate. To dance this JOY of existence. Please join us, SUNDAY's (April 19 - June 14th) - Liggitt Studio, (next to Tulsa Living Arts) 304 S. Kenosha Ave.(downtown Tulsa) 585-1234 TUESDAY's (April 21 - June 16th) - Studio Bilancia, 4154 S. Harvard, 7:00 - 9:00pm (712-7200)
