I know that this is a general answer regarding my taste in music. But other than the obvious, "the blues"I truly love all music. It all depends on whatever mood I may be in and whatever sets the mood for me or us at the time.

MOTHER The observance of Mother's Day has become widespread since the Civil War, even though it is not original with this country. British mums were honored on Mothering Day long before. Here, it was the idea of peace activist Julia Ward Howe, who wrote the lyrics to "Battle Hymn of the Republic," to the melody of a Methodist hymn, intending to rally mothers against war.
