Bocca Musica (Music of the Mouth) is an international, award winning, musical-comedy troupe that was formed in the fall of 1996 by Coco, the Fearless Leader. Bocca started out as a lovely madrigal group, but somehow devolved into a bawdy, crazy, musical-comedy act that occasionally performs love songs or madrigals to fans who make requests. Bocca's style mixes tight harmonies, traditional drinking songs, naughty-bawdy songs and spoofs of modern songs with rude jokes, toasts and slapstick comedy to provide a show which is entertaining to both the eyes and the ears.
Bocca Musica has performed at the Michigan Renaissance Festival since 1997 but has also performed at other venues including The Silver Leaf Renaissance Faire, the Alpena Renaissance Festival and the Charlevoix Renaissance Festival. In addition, Bocca performs at weddings, parties, bar gigs, holiday events and corporate functions throughout the country. Bocca Musica will customize a show to fit any venue!
Huzzah to Bocca! the show was great fun yesterday and the new-cummers (lol) Mona from Verona and Friar Chuck are a great addition to the cast. however, Coco was missed tremendously - she is the bust of Bocca Musica!
