About Brian Byrne & Borrowed Time
Brian Byrne & Borrowed Time began their collaboration in the Summer of 2006. From their first performance, it was plain that these musicians had a comraderie that started in their music but went beyond. BB&BT provides uplifting traditional American music, in a welcoming, family-oriented environment. A varied repertoire includes more than 4 hours of Americana, "Old Time" fiddle and mandolin tunes, with a touch of tasteful Bluegrass and moving Gospel selections. The band features guitar, bass, mandolin, fiddle and harmonica combined with tight mult-part harmonies. BB&BT is a regular performer at Pearl, TX; appeared many times at the Gatesville Opry; is a frequent guest at the Austin Farmers Markets at Republic Square and the Triangle; has packed the Sunday morning bruch at Threadgill's; and shared their talents to support many worthy causes such as the American Cancer Society, Habitat for Humanity and many local places of worship. The band is not only a close musical group, but an alliance based in friendship and mutual respect - which extends to their growing number of dedicated fans from around the state of Texas.

battle of brushy creek takes me back decades to hot east texas summer, riding ranch land alone, big bay named playboy, joie de vivre, so alive in the moment.. weird the song would make me think of that out of nowhere.. shed a salty tear recalling that sweet memory.. thanks so much for your music!

HELP PUT THE STANLEY BROTHERS IN THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME!

Ralph Stanley has received many well-deserved honors in the last few years, yet one honor eludes him. While many of their fellow musicians and singers have been recognized by The Country Music Hall of Fame, THE STANLEY BROTHERS have been sadly -- some say criminally -- overlooked.

Jeanie Stanley, youngest daugher of Carter, and fan Kaye Hill have organized an on-going petition to change all that.

"The Country Music Hall of Fame recognizes those persons who have made a significant contribution to the country music field," says Hill. "The Stanley Brothers helped lay the foundation for what we have today. Their names deserve to be listed among greats like Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs, who have already be recognized."

You can join their efforts in one of the following ways:

Contact the CMHoF directly:

Mr. Kyle Young, President
Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum
222 Fifth Avenue South
Nashville TN 37203

Or, if you prefer, you can send a letter to Kaye Hill, who will forward them to the HoF.

D. Kaye Hill
PO Box 2553
Harrisonsonburg VA 22801

Kay says, "a simple one-line note is all that would be required, but please remember to supply your name and address, and an email address if applicable. I will be collecting all letters and forwarding them to the Country Music Hall of Fame."

"Don't you think it's time?"
