Hey there, and thanks a bunch for stopping by my page! As you may have already noticed, I'm Brittany Ann. I am an 18-year-old singer/songwriter. I was born in Erie and raised in Easton, PA. Growing up, I had always loved music and singing, so picking up the guitar around the age of eleven was a pretty natural move for me. I taught myself the basics and fell in love with it. In eighth grade I bought a Martin guitar (000C-16RGTE Aura) and freshman year of high school I began writing songs. Sophomore year brought me my first paying gigs.
Now a graduate of the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts in Bethlehem, I will be attending Temple University this fall as a music therapy major. I've had some wonderful opportunities lately; playing at regional venues such as the Bitter End, Musikfest, World Cafe Live, Godfrey Daniel's, Chaplin's Music Cafe, CF Martin & Co's Annual Owner's Day Event, The Burlap and Bean, and the Spring Gulch Folk Festival. I've shared the stage with artists like Tom Paxton, The Ryan Montbleau Band, Cheryl Wheeler, Anthony da Costa, Eilen Jewell, and Liz Longley & Sarah Zimmerman. In February, I played a formal showcase at the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, TN. This past year and a half has been really exciting, and it doesn't seem to be slowing down either! Check out my calendar...there are lots of concerts coming up that I'm quite excited about. Maybe you can make it to one or two!
Family members have always called me "wise beyond my years" and some say it shows in my songwriting too. I write about my experiences, what life teaches me, whatever I'm longing for at a particular moment. And I've got to say that when I sing, I feel it. Sincerely, it's coming straight from my soul to your ears.
