I grew up
dancing, barefoot in the rich dirt of freshly cultivated fields of farming
country. My inspiration and
favorite form of entertainment was discoverd on my long daily walks to the edge of the
fields to sing to radiant orange sunsets and learn the songs of the warm
strong evening winds in the leaves, where I often walked with my "imaginary" childhood companion, a "furry white elephant with no trunk and cute curved horns" (who I later in life discovered was a white buffalo) - and we often spent these evenings sitting together reverently on an ancient stone that also sang with us, at the foot
of another of my favorite childhood friends, a very wise grandfather cottonwood tree.
Given the name Bunny, by
very devout, music and art creative parents, born in
Hollywood, California, and raised to the sounds of my parents’
nightly prayers and songs that sustained them during many tough times
while the family moved from place to place to make ends meet, I later was gifted the name "Sings Wolf" upon arriving home in the Black Hills. Gifted me by a Lakota ceremonial singer, it reminds me to not hide my talents "behind a bush like a Bunny" but to "Send my voice like a well traveled and wise wolf." This is only the beginning of a very long story of my name, it's meanings, and the gifts of peace, harmony, abundance and healing this music has to share.
Upon returning home to the Black Hills in 1999, the songs began arriving full blown in dreams, awaking me with their powerfully gentle, thoughtful, meaningful, and sometimes prophetic lyrics, hauntingly beautiful melodies and flute harmonies gifted me to share with all our relations around the globe, for healing, for peace. Since 1999 over 320 songs have come this way, and I continue to pray for a way to record as many of them as I can while I still have the voice to send them. This music is "medicine" for our times.
Sounds Like
A gentle soul-full breeze with bird song, lyrics that matter for these transformational times. No auto-tune used in any of Bunny's recordings - purely natural, intimate, earthy, life honoring and real.
If one must compare, perhaps imagine a songwriting style similar to John Denver or Dan Fogelberg with the spirit of "Women Who Run with the Wolves" sent in a solo acoustic feminine voice some have said sounds like a mix of Judy Collins, Carly Simon, Kate Wolf, and Joni Mitchell with Carlos Nakaii native flute playing as harmonies under an evening sky and Lakota heartbeat drum resonating from somewhere deep from the sacred Black Hills.

Yes, Bunny Sings Wolf, You are so right ... only thing we can do is, to live our lifes in a daily humble happiness ... enjoying apparent unimportant things and share them with people who have an open soul. The creativity contains so much ... good as bad ... the choice to take the right way is our appointment and challenge ...
Best wishes for a wonderful day in peace and harmony

Where were you last night as the Father blew Sweet whispers of wind to dry our Mother’s tears? Did you see Sister Moon shining on thru the darkness? Bringing sweet reverie to our Dear Mother Earth? Lullaby ~ Lullaby
Where were you this Morn as the Father threw his brilliant hues To greet Brother Sun and call us to the day? Did you see our winged Sisters flying swift through the heavens Singing sweet melodies to our Dear Mother Earth? Lullaby ~ Lullaby
Where were you as famine walked the land? Where were you as madmen made their stand? Where were you as dolphins washed ashore? Where were you as forests were no more?
Where are you my friends as the Winds of War return again? Do you hear our Father sigh as his Children fall like leaves Into Dust they return to the Mother’s arms who holds them As she cried silver tears for her Children’s lost years? Lullaby, Lullaby – Lullaby, my Dear Ones, Lullaby

AN EARTH DAY EXCERPT - A DOG'S EYE VIEW Ziggy put his paws over his floppy black ears. He knew what was coming. He knew the Professor was ready to launch into one of his long tirades and he couldn't bear to hear it. It was just too painful for his sensitive ears. He had heard there were places on the earth that were messed up. Word had gotten around. His friends had told him. The birds, who traveled back and forth through the seasons, flying everywhere over water and land, had seen it. Bird told Rabbit. Rabbit had been frightened when he told the gentle deer. And Deer had told Ziggy. Something awful was happening in these places called cities.
The squirrels were gathering more nuts than they needed, afraid there wouldn't be any more trees. Their friends the frogs were disappearing and no one knew why. They needed the frogs! They're the ones who sing to the thunder being. Their song brings on the rain.
Everyone was talking about it. They told Ziggy the problem was his friends, the humans. They were taking up more space than the Great Universal Source had allotted them. Turtle said the humans should learn to slow down and look around. Snake said some of their poisons would wake them up soon enough. Spider said not to worry. The humans had created a web and gotten caught in it. But some of them would see their way out. They could see the light, the weaving of the whole universe. And after all, even flying insects knew to go to the light, didn't they?
Dear Bunny, I Hope You & All Your Relations Are Well. I'm sorry i've been so distant... i really miss our discussions! I hope the music is flowing for you.... And through you, healing to The Four Directions.... That Your Sacred Songs Travel* Peace & Blessings Scott
