Founded in 2005 by Holly Rebelle, Burlesque Noir assembled to perform alongside
a popular fetish group from the local club scene. But, BN broke out on their own
before the end of the year, producing a full length shows to sold out audiences
of over 400. Known for their humor, group choreography, and creativity,
Burlesque Noir earned the title of Best Local Performance Troupe from the local
alternative newspaper, The Alibi(2007, 2009). The voluptuous blend of 14 women have since delivered over 80 original pieces including solos and group
choreography, and self-produced eight full length shows. They perform annually
at the SW Burlesque Showcase, which features burlesque stars such as September
Smith, Ramona Red and Scarlet Letter. Burlesque Noir is also active in the community,walking annually in the Strides Against Breast Cancer benefit. In addition to producing more shows in Albuquerque, Burlesque Noir is prepared to perform for audiences nationwide. On April 11 2009 on their first performance outside of their home state of New Mexico they were awarded Best Troupe or Duo at The Great Boston Burlesque Exposition!
