I sound like myself, I have a unique style and maybe one beat might sound like something from Swizz Beatz, but anything like that is coincidence. I make all my beats from scratch, without sampling Piano solos etc. The only time I sample is for a voiceover.
Born and raised in New York, Carib Beatz has been interested in music since his youth. At the young age of 4, he had started self-teaching himself how to play the piano in his grandmothers apartment in Brooklyn, NY. Everyone that heard him play immediately knew he was a natural. While he was in school, he was always thinking of music and taking music classes to get better. At age 12, Carib Beatz moved to Orlando, FL, with his mother who bought him a new keyboard. He kept on with his practice, and was easily able to play any song he heard by ear. When asked how he learned all of the songs he could play, he simply replied, "I just listen to it and the notes come naturally."
Being able to play anything from Moonlight Sonada by Beethoven to Big Pimpin by Jay-Z by ear, Carib Beatz was clearly a prodigy in music. Two years later, at age 14, Carib Beatz moved once again, this time to Atlanta, GA. Once there, he recieved a gift that would change his life forever, a program that could be used to produce music. Once he recieved that, he self-taught himself how to use that program the same way he did on his old piano.
Carib Beatz always had an appreciation for music, listening to old school hip-hop, underground, reggae, reggaeton, r&b, bachata, merengue and much more. Keeping in touch with the music from his caibbean background, plus being born in the city that birthed hip-hop, he had a wide range of music interests. This wide range of interests is reflected in his work, not only by the variety of music he produces, but also in great quality.
Now, while still in High School, Carib Beatz is producing professional beats that can rival with some top producers. Having beats that vary from Rap and R&B, to Reggae and Reggaeton, he has a wide range of styles. Between his young age, Jamaican and Dominican descent, and his pure skill in music, he has respectfully gained the name, Carib Beatz "Da Prodigy".
